Neil Roberts is a Nationally Accredited Mediator under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) and a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) with the Attorney General's Department.  He is a former Cabinet Minister in the Queensland Government, holding the challenging portfolios of Police, Corrective Services and Emergency Services.

Neil has extensive government, community engagement, industrial relations and crisis management experience which he brings to the table during his mediation sessions.  He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Business (Industrial Relations Major) and a Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution.

Neil undertook his mediation training and accreditation with the Dispute Resolution Branch (Department of Justice and Attorney General). He completed his family dispute resolution practitioner training with Bond University. Neil’s industrial relations experience extended over a period of ten years where he actively engaged in negotiation, conciliation & arbitration processes, advocacy and training. He has a strong commitment to collaboration and co-operative problem-solving.

Neil believes that parties in dispute are best able to resolve their differences if they better understand each other’s interests and needs.

As a senior Cabinet Minister, Neil played a significant role in the Queensland Government leadership team during some of Queensland’s worst natural disasters. His level head, often in times of crisis, earned him the respect of those who have worked with him.

Neil is a Practitioner Member of the Resolution Institute (formerly LEADR Association of Dispute Resolvers).
